Unemployment in the San Jose area has dropped down to 10.1 percent as of this past April, which is a nice drop from the 10.6 percent it was back in March. The biggest piece of good news out of this is how it compares to the rate at this time last year, which was 11.4 percent. It took a year to get this far, but it seems as if job gains and improvements are steadily increasing. Most job increases were due to sectors such as information, manufacturing, and business services.
